Careers in the Arts
Careers in the Arts is a joint project delivered in partnership with the Watermill Theatre and Corn Exchange.
Careers in the Arts aims to inspire and educate young people aged 14-25 in West Berkshire and North Hampshire about what a career in the arts can and does look like.
We want young people to feel confident in their ambitions to pursue a career in the arts – whatever that may be. This project will educate and enlighten young people, parents and teachers in what a career in the arts can and does look like. We want to change the assumption that performing is the only way to have a career in the arts.
We regularly attend careers fairs, where we offer workshops and taster sessions, and we held our first Beyond the Stage event at the Watermill in 2024, where schools and individuals were welcomed into the theatre to find out more about all the different departments behind the scenes.
