A special fundraising event for The Watermill Theatre
Talented actor, singer and tap dancer extraordinaire, Tom Chambers, winner of the BBC’s 2008 Strictly Come Dancing competition, talks about his career and performing in his first Watermill Theatre production, the much-loved musical Crazy For You, featuring music by the Gershwin brothers.
Tom’s career took off with a regular part in Holby City which led onto a key role in Waterloo Road. He then played the role of Jerry Travers in Top Hat which toured the UK before transferring to the Aldwych Theatre in London’s West End. Tom’s tap dancing skills have been shared around the world since the release of a Youtube clip showing his incredible recreation of Fred Astaire’s famous routine from the 1937 film Damsel in Distress.
Join us to hear Tom talk about his varied career in television, film, onstage, and his experience on Strictly. Tom will answer questions from the audience after the talk.
Tea and cake will be served in the bar after the event.
