Brain Game Quiz raises £14K for The Watermill
The Racecourse, Newbury played host to the first Watermill Brain Game recently, a high profile, multimedia supper quiz, compèred by Craig Revel Horwood. The event was a great success with an attendance of over 250 participants all competing to win the infamous 2012 Watermill Brain Game Trophy. Local Newbury businesses also participated to help support the event, including sponsor Savills, Accenture, Highcross, Cheam School and St James’ Partnership. Around £14,000 was raised which will help support the valuable work of The Watermill Theatre both on and off stage.
Guests enjoyed welcome drinks with Craig Revel Horwood, followed by a two course meal accompanied by wine from Sir Peter Michael’s Winery. After a full seven rounds of questioning on topics from Olympic Sports to Current Affairs, the Winning team ‘The Players’, were presented with The 2012 Watermill Brain Game trophy.
