Join us for another evening of Comedy at the Watermill with Paul Sinha, Kate Martin, Mike Cox, and hosted by Matt Richardson!
Headlining the show is the brilliant Paul Sinha! A trained medical doctor who is perhaps best known as the Sinnerman on the hugely popular quiz show 'The Chase' (ITV), Paul has played every major comedy club in the UK, performed in eighteen other countries across the globe, and been three times nominated for Best Club Comedian at the Chortle Awards, winning in 2014.
Paul has taken eight solo shows to the Edinburgh Fringe. His 2017 show Shout Out To My Ex had a sellout run and toured nationally, with 2018’s The Two Ages Of Man following suit. On Radio 4, Paul has appeared several times on venerable favourites Just A Minute, The Now Show, and ‘The News Quiz’; and has carved out a career in factual comedy — making programmes on cricket, the 2012 Olympics, the Magna Carta, and UK citizenship.
Opening the show is Mike Cox! Mike has been performing comedy since 2011 and quickly made his mark on the comedy scene with his sharp witted observational style which saw him crowned South Coast Comedian of the Year in 2014 and the Not So New Comedian of the Year in 2022.
Mike also made the final of the prestigious Amused Moose Laugh Off in 2016. He can be seen at comedy clubs up and down the UK. ‘Like an Everyman, if that Everyman had delicious cynicism and razor sharp wit’ - Romesh Ranganathan.
With the hilarious Kate Martin! At 6ft 1, with the longest wingspan in comedy (*probably), Kate’s a naturally engaging, energetic performer with effortlessly tight gags to match. Her unique background in mental health, going from double school drop out to Dr, and bravely embracing being the only northener in her family have given her a fresh take on the world, a completely distinctive voice, and fuels her high energy storytelling, whip-smart punchlines and razor-sharp observations of life's quirks through queer eyes.
Kate is ‘brilliantly funny & energetic’ (Angela Barnes) and her ‘confident delivery and slick material’ (Chortle) have quickly established her as one of the most exciting acts on the circuit. Kate was a finalist of the Funny Women Stage Awards 2022 and runner-up in the finals of the WDCF New Comedian of the Year competition 2021.
