Every summer, an unmistakable tent appears on the outskirts of a small town in the countryside. Generations of townsfolk and performers are captivated by the extraordinary surprises of The Spectacular Starlit Circus. But as the twentieth century looms and progress beckons, is there still a place for the circus’ magic?
The Watermill collaborate with local village primary schools to create a large scale performance in the theatre. Children from each school will come together to perform The Spectacular Starlit Circus, a new play written especially for them.
