JO BRAND – CAN’T STAND UP FOR SITTING DOWN
Interviewed by Pat Harper
Following her sell-out first visit to The Watermill, Jo Brand returns for a second helping, this time with her autobiography, Can’t Stand up for Sitting Down. If you were one of the lucky ones who enjoyed her warm and sometimes down-right earthy sense of humour at her last event you will be first in the queue to get tickets.
Jo’s life is as diverse as her stand-up act and this, her second autobiography, is fabulously readable and laugh-out-loud funny. From the late 80’s Jo had her own TV show and found herself in demand as an outspoken and funny commentator on life’s foibles and silliness. Her popularity grew and, defying the red tops’ brash assumption, she married and became the mother of two children. This event will be full of the hilarious stories and fascinating insight that makes Jo Brand one of Britain’s best-loved comedians.
