THE SUSPICIONS OF MR WHICHER WORKSHOP

Try out your directing skills and rehearse a selection of scenes from The Suspicions of Mr Whicher with director, Kate Budgen. 

In this workshop, you will be taken through the process of how The Suspicions of Mr Whicher found its way from the page to the stage. Focusing on a few scenes from the play, you will explore the important questions that a director must consider when bringing a show to life.

How does a director connect to a piece of new writing and unlock their unique vision? What are the challenges of staging that particular text? What kind of world do you imagine can hold the play?

You will then get the opportunity to explore some text and staging work. This fun, collaborative workshop will deliver an insightful peep behind the curtain to reveal what it’s like to sit in the director’s chair.
